FAQ

Depending on which assessment you are completing, the general process will involve consent and payment information forms being sent to you, followed by background information forms and questionnaires. Usually, you will then have a clinical interview (which is a fancy way of saying a meeting with our psychologist) to further discuss what has been happening for you. This might be in the form of a structured interview (with specific questions asked) or may be semi-structured and more flexible. Further questionnaires may be sent to you or for someone who knows you well to complete. Once we have all the information we need, we will review this information and write a comprehensive report based on what we have found. Finally, we will have a feedback session with you to discuss what we found and answer any questions you might have about the report.

While it can seem quite scary for some people, the best way to prepare is to try and be as open and honest as you can be when answering questions. There are no right or wrong answers, and you can’t ‘fail’ any of our testing. During our interviews, we try to keep things light-hearted and help you to feel comfortable in the space with us. If you have any reports or documents that you feel are relevant to what has been happening, attaching those to the intake forms can be really helpful for us to review.

The usual turn around for reports is approximately 3-4 weeks.

Assessments are paid for via our online payment system through Power Diary. You provide these details through the Service Costs Agreement form, and all payment details are held securely within Power Diary. We will debit the amount (either full or agreed payment plan) from your account as per the agreed payment schedule.

Private Health Insurance Rebates – some health insurance policies cover psychological/diagnostic assessment, depending on the company and the policy. Please check with your insurance company prior to attending as to what cover you are eligible for. Unfortunately, this is not something we are able to check on your behalf.

Medicare Rebates & NDIS – Medicare rebates and NDIS funding is not currently available for the purposes of psychometric/diagnostic assessments.
